The Reaching Out Project
Recently, the Good Neighbours' Club began a new program called The Reaching Out Project. Long-time GNC supporter and accomplished writer, Carol Ann Cole approached the club to work with our members in writing letters to our troops in Afghanistan.
Our members have their own stories of adversity and triumph; they have family histories to share and an edifying hope that has the capacity to affect change within and without.
The members of the Good Neighbours' Club have embraced this new project. Carol Ann has had discussions with some of the guys about writing books about their lives! Most importantly, teaches everyone involved that we all can be of service to others no matter what our personal situations are.
We look forward to the day that we get a letter from Afghanistan in response. We'll keep you posted.
Carol Ann comes to the club every Wednesday at 8:30am.
