Honoured Supporter

Our honoured group donor: The St. George's Society

Thank you to the St. George’s Society for your continuing generosity!

This year the St. George's Society celebrates 175 years of dedicated service to the City of Toronto. Established in 1834 to provide a support network and services to suit the needs of new immigrants, the St. George's Society maintains the distinction of being Toronto oldest charity.

The Good Neighbours' Club would like to thank the St. George's Society for their continued support over the years. In 2008, the St. George's Society promised $15,000 to assist the Good Neighbours' Club in supporting men over 50 battling the dangers and difficulties of homelessness and poverty in Toronto. Through the success of the annual Red Rose Ball, they were able to raise $3000, the second installment of that promise.

We are extremely grateful that the St. George's Society recognizes the work that the Good Neighbours' Club does and feel us worthy of their mandate as expressed in their motto: "Supporting causes that matter most when they matter most since 1834."

Thank you St. George's Society for the wonderful work you do!
