Support Care
Two support care workers are on staff every day. These dedicated individuals are available to help with everything from showing new members around the club to filling out forms, referrals and simply offering a sympathetic ear.
Clinic
Every Monday two nurses from Street Health visit, providing basic care and referrals.
Diabetes Clinic
A team from Sherbourne Health visits every 2 weeks to do diabetes screening, management and education.
Counselor
One afternoon a week a counselor from Woodgreen Community Services is on site to assist with housing, income programs, physical and mental health needs.
Addictions Counselor
Friday mornings a counselor from Community Outreach Programs in Addictions (COPA) is available to help with harm reduction, support groups, housing, referrals and case management.
AA Meetings
AA meetings are held every Friday at 1pm.
Storytelling
Our weekly storytelling session is a chance for members to talk about their life experiences in a fun and welcoming environment.
Writing Workshop
Professional writer, Carol Ann Cole, meets with members to write letters to troops or short stories about members' lives.
Music Workshop
Many of the members at the Good Neighbours' Club are talented musicians who have the chance every Tuesday to share their talents and jam with Maria at our music workshop. We currently have guitars, a pinao and a keyboard, bongos and fiddle...but we're always looking for new and interesting instruments for this program!
Community Garden
Once Spring comes, our newly donated planters come out. Members can grow whatever they fancy in our planters that beautify our concrete building.
Discussion Group and Community Exploration
Every week there's a new topic at discussion group, where members talk about 'The Big Picture.' The group also makes trips out into the community, giving members a chance to get visit attractions in Toronto they might not get to see otherwise.
